align="left">The last major auto show of the season is certainly by no means the least. There will be highly significant launches at this year's show across various categories that will have an impact on not only the wide selection of new vehicles on offer, but also on the fortunes of the various manufacturers who are looking to get a leg up on the competition. Two segments worth looking at during this year's show will be crossover SUVs and traditional cars. align="left">New York is the Cadillac division's home town and it is pulling out all the stops in introducing the 2019 Cadillac XT4, a crossover slotted just below the recently redesigned XT5. This compact model will face some stiff competition in the segment from the likes of the Lincoln MKC, Mercedes-Benz GLC, BMW X3 and the Audi Q3. Also in the mix is the all-new 2019 Acura RDX, which will be making its production debut after the Japanese make showed a thinly disguised concept version of the crossover at Detroit. The production model will also be shown alongside the new A Spec version which offers suspension and appearance upgrades. Also making SUV news at the show will be Lincoln with an all-new entry called Aviator. It has resurrected the name from an Explorer-based version, but Lincoln is mum on the details of this latest entry as it transitions from three-letter model designations to more traditional nameplates. align="left">Rounding out the entries in the luxury SUV segment, show attendees will be able to get their first U.S. look at the 2019 Lexus UX, a vehicle positioned beneath the NX, and a performance version of the BMW X4, which was also shown in Geneva, in the guise of the M40i M Performance. In the more mainstream segment, Subaru will present an all-new Forester, while Toyota will launch the fifth generation of its popular 2019 RAV4 compact crossover. align="left">On the car side, Nissan is looking to make inroads in the midsize car class with an all-new 2019 Altima. The vehicle is said to incorporate some of the edgy styling seen on the VMotion 2.0 sedan concept shown at the 2017 Detroit show. Mercedes-Benz will be highlighting its facelifted C-Class series, offering a world debut of the cabriolet version, along with a brace of Mercedes-AMG C 43 variants in coupe, convertible and sedan configurations. This is just a sample of what will be on hand, since several manufacturers are promising surprises, so check back often for updates. Press days begin March 26.
