2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class/AMG C 43 Refreshed

align="left">Mercedes-Benz's refreshed 2019 C-Class Coupe and Cabriolet feature new and more powerful engines, redesigned front and rear looks and new infotainment features including a bigger standard display screen. The C 300 and C 300 4MATIC and the sportier AMG C 43 Coupe and Cabriolet debut at the 2018 New York International Auto Show, following the world premiere of the updated C-Class sedan and wagon at the Geneva International Motor Show.

align="left">This midcycle refresh to the C-Class Coupe and Cabriolet come after just a few years after their launches at the end of 2015 and in 2016, respectively. With new front and rear bumpers, the C 300 and C 300 4MATIC receive a more refined look. The nose features a diamond-pattern radiator grille, accentuated by new standard LED high performance headlamps in an updated design (LED Intelligent headlamps with ultra-wide high beams are now optional). The back end features twin exhaust tips and updated LED tail lamps. New light-alloy wheels help differentiate the models from the current lineup and two new exterior color choices are available. align="left">The interior incorporates the new MBUX interface featuring a 10.25-inch screen, replacing the previous 7-inch unit, while a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with three modes of display is available. Other enhancements include a new leather steering wheel with touch control buttons to handle functions such as cruise control and infotainment needs, standard smartphone integration and new trim options. Drivers also can use voice command to control features like seat heating. align="left">New engine align="left">The rear-drive 2019 C 300 and all-wheel drive C 300 4MATIC Coupe and Cabriolet are powered by a new 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder turbocharged engine. It generates 255 horsepower (an increase of 14 horsepower) and 273 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission. Zero to 60 mph acceleration in the Coupe is estimated at 5.9 seconds. The C 300 Cabriolet reaches that in an estimated 6.1 seconds and estimated 6.2 seconds for the C 300 4MATIC convertible. align="left">The C 300 will be available with 4MATIC full-time all-wheel drive for enhanced traction and stability. Both the C 300 and C 300 4MATIC feature intelligent driver assistance technology shared with the S-Class and offer a bevy of advanced driver assistance systems. With a list of options such as wireless charging, heated and ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel, head-up display, next generation Comand navigation and the blacked-out Night Package (available for the first time on the C-Class Cabriolet), buyers will have plenty of ways to customize their vehicle. align="left">The 2019 C 300 and C 300 4MATIC Coupe and Cabriolet are expected in U.S. showrooms by the end of the year. Pricing for the models was not released. The current C 300 Coupe starts just above $44,000 including destination, while the C 300 4MATIC Coupe at about $46,000 including destination. The convertible version of the C 300 starts at about $52,000 including destination. align="left">
align="left">AMG C 43 Coupe and Cabriolet

align="left">As part of the refresh of Mercedes" compact lineup, the 2019 Mercedes-AMG C 43 Coupe and Cabriolet have also been updated to provide the luxury sports car seeker a more athletic-looking entry into the Mercedes-AMG portfolio. align="left">An enhanced 3-liter V6 bi-turbo engine has increased horsepower by 23 to 385 horsepower. Peak torque is 384 lb-ft in a range from 2,500 to 5,000 rpm. Acceleration is quick, with 0-60 mph estimated at 4.5 seconds for the C 43 Coupe and an estimated 4.6 seconds for the convertible. Both figures are 0.1 seconds faster than the 2018 models. Top speed is set at 130 mph. All C 43 models come with 4MATIC all-wheel drive. The engine is paired with the AMG Speedshift T 9-speed sport automatic transmission featuring steering wheel paddles for sequential shifts. align="left">Distinct design align="left">With a sharper looking front design, the C 43 features the AMG radiator grille with two slats in a matte Iridium Silver color. The front bumper has been redesigned with side air curtains while the front splitter trim is decked out in silver chrome. The back bumper also is new and features new twin round tailpipes in a high-gloss chrome. align="left">Inside, the C 43 Coupe and Cabriolet are updated with the optional digital display found in the standard models. The AMG versions sport a microfiber black interior (leather is available) offset with red stitching. The AMG C 43 are also fitted with aluminum sports pedals, red seat belts, wood trim and a new performance Nappa leather-covered steering wheel with new touch control functions. Other bits from the AMG parts bin include the AMG Dynamic Select Drive, AMG Ride Control with sport suspension and new aerodynamically designed, 18-inch AMG light-alloy wheels. align="left">Additional personalization items include AMG performance seats, exhaust and AMG line 18- or 19-inch wheels. Also available is the AMG Track Pace data recorder as well as special appearance packages. The 2019 Mercedes-AMG C 43 Coupe and Cabriolet will go on sale by the end of 2018. Pricing was not released. The 2018 AMG C 43 Coupe begins at about $57,000 including destination.
