Skiing: An unforgettable experience
滑雪——一次难忘的经历

Last year, my parents took me on a very special holiday.
去年，我的父母给了我一个非常特别的假期。
My dream was to see some real snow, so during the Christmas holiday, we took our passports and flew over the Pacific to Calgary, Canada.
我的梦想是看真正的雪，所以在圣诞期间，我们带着护照，飞过太平洋，去了加拿大的卡尔加里。
We took a bus to a ski resort in the Canadian Rockies.
我们乘坐巴士前往一个在加拿大落基山脉的滑雪胜地。
As the bus climbed through the mountains, we saw the thick snow on the trees. I was dying to get out and play with it!
随着巴士在山上爬升，我们看到了树木上厚厚的积雪，我真想跳出去和它们玩耍！
At last, we reached the resort and quickly jumped out of the bus.
最后，我们到达了度假胜地，我赶紧跳下了巴士。
This was our first experience with snow. We were like little children-we made snowballs, and threw them at one another!
这是我们第一次接触到雪。我们就像孩子一样——我们做雪球，并用它来打雪仗！
Then we checked in at the hotel. We could see the ski slope opposite the hotel. We could not wait to get out and ski.
接下来，我们入住了酒店，我们可以看到酒店对面的滑雪坡。我们迫不及待地想出去滑雪。
The next day, we put on our ski suits and gloves, took our skis and went outside onto the snow.
第二天，我们穿上滑雪服并戴好手套，带上滑雪板，去到外面的雪地上。
Wearing skis for the first time made me feel strange. Suddenly I found myself unable to walk!
第一次穿上滑雪板，让我觉得很怪异。 突然发现自己不会走路了！
Then we had a skiing lesson with a young couple. Our instructor took us to a gentle slope, and showed us some basic skills.
然后，我们与一对年轻夫妇一起上了一节滑雪课。我们的教练带我们去了一个平缓一点的雪坡，并向我们展示了一些（滑雪的）基本技巧。
To be honest, that first lesson was not a great success. I kept on falling over, and I had to hold on to a rope to keep my balance.
说实话，这第一课不是特别的成功。我一直在摔倒，我只好抓住绳子以使身体保持平衡。
However, the next day, I only fell over a few times, and I managed to do a few rapid runs.
然而，第二天，我只被绊倒了几次，并且我还努力完成了一些快速的滑行。
I felt pleased with myself, and my instructor told me I was doing much better.
我为自己感到高兴，而且我的教练告诉我说，我滑的非常好。
Although it was very cold, I spent most of my holiday skiing. I had a wonderful time.
尽管这里非常的冷，我还是将我的大部分假期都花在了滑雪上。我度过了一段美好的时光。
It was all over too soon. It was a shame, but we had to leave.
一切都结束得太早，这令人婉惜，但我们不得不离开。
I wish my parents would take me back for another wonderful skiing holiday next year.
我希望我父母明年会带我再次回来，再来一个滑雪假期。
