The elephant is one of Thailand's symbols.

Our first flag had a white elephant on it.

This is a symbol of good luck.

Elephants are smart animals.
大象很聪明。
They can play soccer or music.
它们会踢足球或玩音乐。
They can also draw very well.
它们画画也很好。
People say that "an elephant never forgets".
人们说“大象从不忘记”。
Elephants can walk for a long time and never get lost.
大象可以走很长时间，却不会迷路。
They can also remember places with food and water.
它们还能记住有食物和水的地方。
This helps them to live.
这帮助它们生存。
But elephants are in great danger.
但大象面临着巨大的危险。
People cut down many trees so elephants are losing their homes.
人们砍伐了许多树，所以大象正在失去家园。
People also kill elephants for their ivory.
人们也会为了象牙而杀大象。
Today there are only about 3, 000 elephants(over 100, 000 before).
如今，大象只有大约3000头了（之前有10万多头着）。
We must save the trees and not buy things made of ivory.
我们必须挽救树木，不买象牙做得东西。
Remember that March 13th is Tai Elephant Day.
